University of the Humanities
The University of Humanistics is a small, independent university inspired by
humanism and social sciences and the humanities in one. Our research and education focuses on contemporary issues of meaning, philosophy and the organization of a dignified society. The university currently offers a bachelor’s degree, three master’s degrees and a PhD graduate school
to about 650 students. We have the ambition to grow further in student numbers, research and valorisation projects.
The scientific staff is organized into 5 teacher groups. Support is organized into 3 departments: Education, Research & Valuation and Operations. The communications team is part of the operations department. UvH is located in the historic center of Utrecht and has an informal work atmosphere with approximately 120 dedicated employees.

What do you want to do?
As a novice marketing and communications officer, you are committed to developing, managing, and executing online marketing campaigns for the courses and programs at the University of Humanistics. Both the general bachelor’s and master’s programs for students, as well as programs for professionals, are offered by our Knowledge Center. You study the steps a prospective student takes when making a choice, and you design and support appropriate online actions.

You manage the university’s social media and create varied and appropriate content. You adapt the use of images and languages ​​to the different channels and intended audiences. You monitor the effects of campaigns with specialists. You manage the information about our courses on our own website and on various external websites. You develop email campaigns and learn how to optimally use our relationship management system for lead management and campaign emailing.

What are we asking about?
• You have a completed HBO education in communication and / or marketing
• You have lots of ideas about using social media for our target audiences
• You have an affiliation with online marketing and are ready to develop further in the subtleties of the subject, from creating to optimizing, from monitoring to evaluating
• You are result-oriented and well-organized
• You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing
• You have a careful and creative pen and are good at imagery
• You are good at learning and managing applications
• You are socially skilled and easily get in touch with our target groups
• You belong to the University of the Humanities

What do we offer?
A fine junior position in an enthusiastic small team, where there is plenty of room to learn and develop.
You get a fixed-term employment contract for 1 year. With proper function and
unchanged operating conditions, there is a prospect of permanent employment.
This position is classified in the UFO profile Communication Officer 2 (salary scale 8 CAO
Dutch universities).
We pay the ultimate bonus (13th month) on the salary. Until the perks
include a pension scheme with ABP, a generous leave scheme, development / training opportunities
and flexible working hours. These terms of employment can be supplemented via the optional model
