Zebra Technologies introduces rugged tablets to help front-line employees work smarter and faster

Amsterdam, June 14, 2022 – Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator with competitive solutions and partners, today introduced the ET4x series, including the Android ™ -based ET40 and ET45 tablets, designed for to strengthen employees. help you work smarter and faster. The Business ET4x series is a set of robust tablets for general use. Ideal for a wide range of application cases, from delivery drivers and delivery staff in transportation and logistics to retail staff performing support sales and line tasks. The ET4x series enables retailers to support multiple Point-of-Sale (POS) applications using custom-built business-class accessories. The tablets come with several options, including tap-to-pay functionality, mobile POS and a new standard for a desktop-like solution.

The ET4x series has a 13-megapixel rear camera for shooting as proof of condition and visual quality control in the store. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera enables video calling that can save time and reduce errors. An integrated 2D scanner enables fast, accurate data capture of barcodes in virtually any situation. This can help with retail price control and inventory searches or package tracking and tracing. Wi-Fi 6 and 5G support ensures connectivity in any environment and increased employee productivity.

Unlike the consumer tablet, Zebra guarantees that the ET4x series will be available for purchase for up to three years, eliminating the implementation of mixed devices that are time consuming and more expensive for IT departments to support. With Zebra’s optional OneCare maintenance plans, businesses can count on up to six years of service and support for their ET40 and ET45 tablets. This allows front-line employees to continue working at peak load levels, while reducing device vulnerability, unbudgeted repair costs, and unexpected downtime.

The ET4x series of tablets feature selected Zebra Mobility DNA software tools to optimize workflows and improve communication and usability for mobile employees. These tools include Mobility Extensions (Mx), which adds powerful enterprise security and management features to the standard Android operating system, and StageNow, which allows businesses to deploy a handful or thousands of devices in seconds.
