Cisco offers new cloud management applications for networking

Cisco has announced its vision to enable IT teams to work smarter and simplify operations with new innovations in cloud-managed networks and consistent technology experiences. Cloud Management for Cisco Catalyst enables customers to bring the simplicity of Meraki Cloud to their existing Catalyst deployments. The new Cisco Nexus Cloud SaaS offering, powered by the Cisco Intersight platform, simplifies IT by offering a cloud-managed cloud networking platform. ThousandEyes WAN Insights will soon be available to Cisco SD-WAN customers as the critical first step toward realizing the Cisco Predictive Networks vision.

Today’s business environment is predictably unpredictable, according to Cisco. Organizations rely on digital experiences to keep their workforce productive and exceed customer and partner expectations. To build enterprise agility and resilience, IT teams need consistent solutions that bridge an organization’s technologies, locations, teams, and units.

The challenge is that IT environments have become overwhelmingly complex and users’ expectations are higher than ever. The connections that companies depend on have increased in number and diversity. This has resulted in a network and overall IT experience that is more fragmented, less secure and increasingly difficult to scale. To address growing complexity, Cisco delivers a more integrated IT experience through cloud-based, intelligent platforms.

Cisco Enables Unified IT At Cisco Live, the flagship networking and security event, Cisco unveiled new cloud management features that deliver a seamless experience across Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus portfolios, and a new Cisco ThousandEyes product to enhance WAN performance. predict and optimize. These innovations highlight Cisco’s strategy of providing customers with the flexibility, robustness and productivity that their businesses need to thrive in the face of unpredictability through the power of cloud-managed platforms.

“Our customers choose to run their business on Cisco technology because we are at the intersection of network, security and cloud,” said Todd Nightingale, EVP and GM, Cisco Enterprise Networking & Cloud. “We believe that the network is the foundation of modern enterprise and should provide flexibility through simplicity. Cisco addresses our customers’ primary concern, which is managing complexity through smart, data-driven platforms that run a digital enterprise.”

Cloud Management

Cisco is improving its networking platforms to enable customers to move safely, logically and seamlessly to more cloud-based business models.

With Cloud Management for Cisco Catalyst, customers can now monitor select Catalyst Switches and manage new Catalyst Wireless devices through the Meraki dashboard, providing greater visibility and flexibility to the customer experience. Campus and branch network customers can now simplify their IT operations by combining the best in cloud management with the best in network hardware.

It also announced the announcement of Cisco Nexus Cloud, a cloud-managed platform delivered as a service that provides the easiest way to deploy, manage, and operate cloud networks. Powered by Cisco Intersight’s best-in-class switching and multicloud management, Cisco Nexus Cloud will increase customers’ ability to manage public cloud, private cloud and edge computing environments of any size and scale. The Cisco Nexus Cloud is purposefully available in the fall of 2022.

Driving superior digital experiences is more important than ever today. Bad customer or employee experiences leave lasting and damaging impressions. IT teams need access to solutions that allow them to move away from responding to networking issues and instead proactively prevent the issues from affecting their business, Cisco said.

Customers can now take advantage of Cisco’s advances in predictive networking through Cisco ThousandEyes, a web and cloud intelligence platform. ThousandEyes WAN Insights is the first step towards realizing the Cisco Predictive Networks vision, enabling enterprise IT to move from reactive to preventative networks, improve operational efficiency and ensure the application experience. ThousandEyes WAN Insights is coming soon, proactively alerting IT teams of issues before they arise and affecting the user experience, with policy recommendations and guidance on stio optimization. In addition to ThousandEyes’ unique views on Internet health and behavior, the addition of ThousandEyes WAN Insights helps customers maximize their Internet and cloud-centric environments and deliver seamless digital experiences.
