What do you want to do?
Takes responsibility for a budget of more than 700 million. You immediately get energy from it. Become a financial strategist in Breda municipality and make your environment better. As a financial strategist, you are financially responsible for the budget of more than 700 million euros. You know the entire municipality’s finances and you review the entire organization. Anyone who has a question you have answered or knows where to find it. Your extensive financial knowledge makes you a pleasant discussion partner at all levels. One moment you are attending the Council meeting to outline the budget for next year. Then you answer a question from a colleague again. Then you update the Danish Bankers Association about the current situation. You think about the macroeconomic level, and you get something out of everything that goes on in the municipality. The municipality and all residents count on you. You take your responsibility by:

  • Maintaining the overall picture of the municipal financial position. You know what’s going on and you understand how things affect each other.
  • Translation of financial information into comprehensible language for stakeholders. You can explain financial matters clearly to councilors, councilors, colleagues and residents.
  • Advice on economic development. You follow this development and inform about what the consequences are for Breda municipality.
  • You know the entire municipality’s finances and you review the entire organization.

We are looking for you!

The most important trait you bring with you is your open personality. In this position, you have to deal with many different interests. There is often more involved than just the financial approach, and you understand that. You communicate easily on different levels and listen to all sides of the story. Your flexibility makes it easy to switch. Whether you sit down with a colleague from your department or sit down with the councilor, you approach everyone with respect. You are broadly interested and can well explain the choices you have made. You dare to make decisions and you understand that relationships change regularly. After the election, there will be a completely different board that can make other choices. Finally you bring:

  • A university degree in finance, for example Business Economics or Finance.
  • Work experience in a financial position where you have had an advisory role.

What we offer:

  • A monthly gross salary of a maximum of € 6,616 gross per month (scale 13) based on 36 hours.
  • A 36 hour contract. The possibility of a 32-hour working week is negotiable.
  • An annual contract for the purpose of a permanent contract.
  • Opportunity to work from home. The department works completely hybrid. For your home workplace, you can count on a desk and an office chair so you can do your work ergonomically.
  • A good balance between work and private life with flexible working hours.
  • 144 hours of leave with full-time employment.
  • A good pension scheme with ABP.

  • An individual election budget of 17.05% on top of your salary, which you can use for study, extra leave or, for example, the purchase of a bicycle. You can also get the amount paid out. Your gross annual salary is then a maximum of € 92,928 for a 36-hour work week.

You will work in the finance and police team. This team of 25 financial advisors is filled with hard workers with a wealth of financial knowledge. You work hybrid.
