The municipalities of Harderwijk, Ermelo and Zeewolde are located in the beautiful area around Wolderwijd (“Veluwemeer”), partly in the beautiful forests and heaths of the Veluwe and partly in the wide polder. Around 1,000 colleagues in the 3 municipalities and their partner organization Meerinzicht work for the 100,000 inhabitants of these municipalities. Domain Operations within Meerinzicht, with around 300 colleagues, ensures that colleagues within the 4 organizations can carry out their work and, in addition to taxes, facilitates all operational functions. Both the scale and the collaboration in these organizations provide plenty of room for quality and development and provide the necessary interesting dynamics. This is where you have to work
The finance department consists of the following functional areas of action: administration, management, consultancy, policy, administrative organization and internal control. There are more than 50 colleagues working for whom you are also a manager. To facilitate management, there are also senior colleagues who help with this (functionally). In addition, teams have been formed per ‘customer organisation’, where colleagues from different functional areas work together to realize the (financial) goals for this specific organisation. Seen this way, we work in a matrix organization. On the one hand attention to the ‘customer’ and on the other hand attention to ‘our profession’.

We have recently set up permanent training, we have set up a ‘soft closure’ and we are on our way to creating an ambitious picture of the future. We work with partners to operationalize the ambitious image (think data analysis, process mining and robotics). What do we deliver? A reliable recording of financial data, a reliable financial database, thorough analysis and advice and advice on and implementation of risk-based internal control.

This is what you want to do
The financial manager leads approximately 50 financial professionals who strive for good service quality. During the past year, the department has initiated some major developments which deserve and demand to be continued. You have a focus on results, on quality, on processes and on collaboration within and outside the finance function.

Because you have a solid vision for (the future of) the financial function, you are a figurehead for the department. You translate this vision into our operational work processes.

You ensure movement in the department – as a matter of course – by inspiring colleagues to be proactive in shaping the good quality in our work.

You are the link for the finance function with the management in the various ‘customer organisations’. You are structurally in discussion about the quality of the service based on the idea that you are a partner.

It is also up to you to make decisions on financial and organizational issues that affect the entire department.

You are also – last but not least – responsible for the (personal) development of the financial colleagues. You bring flair to our organization and ensure that colleagues feel free and stimulated to continue developing in their profession.

Your talents
You naturally have a university level in work and thinking, documented leadership qualities and experience within a large complex and/or cooperative organization. You are able to give space to colleagues to (let them) realize the desired results. You can turn to colleagues where necessary, and you are also welcoming yourself.

That’s what you get from us
A challenging job where no day is the same in an organization that is developing rapidly. The position of Head of Finance is rated at scale 13 (Manager II), with a minimum salary of €4,447 (starting scale) up to a maximum of €6,616 gross per month based on a 36-hour working week.

In addition, there is an individual election budget of 17.05%, which, among other things, consists of a year-end bonus and holiday allowance.
