Senior Project Manager Radar Technology

As a project manager, you are responsible for realizing a common set of project results on time and within budget. What the result is varies. One time it is a preliminary study or analysis, the other time it is a prototype or even a final product. You are always working on several projects at the same time. This means that you constantly switch between the various subjects during your working day. You often work on behalf of clients in the defense and space sector. You develop a clear picture of the needs behind customer questions and of the project’s framework and interests. Then you plan and organize the research.

Within the projects, you guide to give customers high-quality answers and to strengthen the knowledge base in your department. Thanks to you, project team members know exactly what is expected of them and are given the opportunity to develop to their full potential. You pay extra attention to the development of the starters in your team. You will also look for new ways to bring the knowledge your department develops to the market. For this, you work together with content experts and business developers.

You are a real controller who finds it a challenge to independently get complex projects on track and bring them to a successful conclusion. You speak the language of technicians, but above all, you know how to translate the added value of our work into a message that our customers understand. Bringing technical-scientific research into usable solutions for the (international) market is what you excel at.

What else do you have at home?

• WO master or PhD. in a technical direction, preferably physics, electrical engineering or business economics.
• Interested in techniques related to radar technology.
• Demonstrated experience as program and project manager (minimum 3 years).
• Clear affinity with the defense domain is a plus.
• Good command of English and willingness to work for short periods elsewhere in the Netherlands when necessary.
